Aldi " Bilash " rice pouch.

Hi please can someone clarify the Microwavable plain white rice facts?
Aldi Bilash white rice in a pouch for microwaving definitely feels like it has oil on, I'm happy to count it as a Syn as its great but I don't seem to be able to find a definitive answer.
I have read that its " negligible " so counts as a half at most - its 2 Syns a pouch & now I've just been told its 3 or more per pouch........help please

Hi Jessie

The Pilau rice is 1 syn per 250g pouch and the Basmati is 2 syns per 250 pouch.

Personally I always count the syns for these even though they are so low and the pouches are really handy. They definitely have oil in them to preserve the rice and for cooking it, so there is no way to get around the fact there are syns in them.
It's up to you whether you count them or not, but if it was me I would count them. The moment I start to 'ignore' some syns is the point that I start ignoring other things that I shouldn't and I go off track, but that could just be me

Hi sarahc4536
Thanks for clarifying that, you're absolutely right, the odd Syn missed here & there is soon reflected on the bathroom scales isn't it?
Thanks again, I've counted the full syn value in to my daily allowance now.
xx
