Well done on the loss PurpleJ!

A rather large gain for me, didn't quite expect 4.5lbs on (approximately anyway, I weighed on different scales last week) but I know exactly what it was. Several meals out, and getting into the thinking of "I've already gone off plan today, more won't harm", which is very unlike me :P That said, all the meals out were planned bad ones, so it's fine. It hurts the OCD side of me to say 5 stone 13.5lbs lost instead of 6 stone, but hey ho! Expecting another gain next week, though today was my last official weigh in.

Still in a healthy BMI range, just about! But out of the 10s for now.

Not as much planned this week, so hoping the gain is limited to a pound if there has to be one :P

It's nice to be able to go off plan and know that I can get back on it again, even after being really, really naughty I am a little worried about having more gains in Japan, but it'll take a little while to find a good balance between tasty but healthy foods and those that aren't so good.

Well done on your loss PurpleJ

Don't be too disheartened Matt. You've done amazingly well and sometimes a gain is good for us (I like to think we're tricking our bodies into old habits so when we're back on plan, we'll see a huge loss!)

I had a gain too this week; 1.5lb but I didn't freak or get upset or refuse to stop for group. I'm still at my group target as I haven't reset it to my lower target yet. I'm waiting until I see 10st 3.5 then I'll lower it as then I'm officially our of target with the 3lb each way thingy.

Fantastic PJ!

that is quite a gain Matt but you're doing so well. I'm sure you'll be in control again soon.

Welcome Stephie!

You're doing great too Spoony! I don't even dare contemplate my target yet!!

My Tuesday weigh in was a bit of an expected disaster with a gain of a 1lb but it was an evening and I'm usually a morning weigher. This week willl be all change again !!

Well done on your 1.5lb loss, PurpleJ!

Good to see such positivity from those of you who have had a gain. We all know the plan works, so you know it will soon come off again.

Hi Stephie...welcome to the madhouse! I know how daunting it can be when you've got a lot to lose...but believe me, it is absolutely possible. I was not far off your start weight when I started in July 2014. Have a great first week x x x

Well, I lost 1lb this week, which I'm happy with. Had father in law staying with us at the weekend, which involved a few meals out. Made the best choices I could, so still felt in control, and was super careful around those tricky times, so all good.

Hope you all have a good week.

Looby x x

That's fabulous Looby. Meals out are my absolute downfall.

One meal was just at a 'Fayre and Square' pub...where I had the Grilled Fish Skewers which come with rice, salad and mojito dressing. Synned the salad dressing and the mojito dressing as best I could on guess work.

Then another meal was at a cafe at lunch time, where I had grilled bacon, poached eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes and beans...so again, just synned a bit of oil.

And finally, we went out for an Indian. Had one poppadum (4 syns) with some Mango Chutney (2 syns). I then had chicken shashlik (dry spiced chicken with onions, peppers and tomatoes - synned the oil/ghee) with boiled rice. So not too bad.

Thanks guys! Definitely not disheartened, like you say Looby, we know the plan works, so it's not like I'm wondering why on earth I've gained. The past few days have also been massively off plan, but again, all planned so fine. Today was the last day going crazy with food. I have 3 days left in the UK before Japan, all of which will be on plan. The flight may be tricky, but I intend to have a good meal before my flight, and take plenty of fruit/good snacks for my flight. Or before? I haven't flown for 10 years, I'm not sure what I can and can't take in my carry on luggage :P

This is the first time I've gone absolutely mental with food on SW for several days, I've seen people have 9lb gains or so and lose at least half the week after, so like you say Looby, I'm hoping my body can do that. Whilst I'm not in any doubt I've put some extra "genuine" weight on, I'm hoping the fatty/sugary foods are just making my body hold on to more water than usual too :P

I've stuck with the exercise too, so hoping that can at least counteract some of the damage I've done, aha. Really didn't want to go for a run on Thursday, but knew I'd possibly feel crappy for not going, so forced myself out the door :P

Milly, you probably didn't even gain at all then! It varies on the person of course, but I once weighed myself in the morning and again at night on the same day, and there was a 3-4lb difference.

Welcome to the forum Stephie! And good luck with the weight loss journey I'm coming up for my year anniversary, Slimming World is one of the best decisions I've ever made

Well done on the loss Looby, especially with the meals out!

Have a fabulous time in Japan Matt. That is so exciting! I've never taken food on a plane so can't help you there I'm afraid.

Leaving the country with food could be ok but entering is another thing altogether Matt. Have you checked online with your ticket if it has a dietary requirements option? It depends a lot on who you fly with and what class.
