Homemade Potatoe Crisps

Felt like a little snack this afternoon.

Normally I have a piece of fruit. Wanted to shake things up a bit and vary what I eat otherwise it gets boring.

But...I sliced a medium potatoe into thin slices and popped them into a little round microwave rack with a section for each slice.

Cooked on high for about 8 to 10 minutes until they were crisp.

It was so delicious and crispy. Added some paprika and garlic seasoning.

AND absolutely free, no SYNS!!

I'm really sorry, but these should be synned at the same value as a normal bags of crisps would be - 6.5 syns.

I know potatoes are a free food, but as you aren't using it in the way it should be (as part of a meal) then it should be classed as a tweak, and therefore synned.
As it is something that you could easily overeat on, and as it isn't a speed food (which is what SW want you to eat between meals ideally), they advise it should be synned.

Any item used as a replacement for something else, when not part of a meal, should be synned at the same value as the item you are replacing.
The same would go for the 1/2 syn cake which is made using loads of eggs and sweetener along with a little baking powder.

As much as I disagree with tweaks completely - I would rather use my syns to eat the actual thing I'm substituting - there are people who do use tweaks and don't syn them. But use them sparingly.
My advice would be that if you do deice to use them and not syn them, then don't eat them more than once a week, twice at most. If you notice that your losses start to taper off, and you've been 100% on plan otherwise, this should be the first thing that you remove from your weekly plan, or start to syn them.

I will most certainly bear that in mind.

I did not realise. I will have an apple or some melon instead and maybe my special crisps only once in a while.

After having my evening meal is it okay to have fruit and natural fat free yogurt an hour afterwards?

You can eat whenever you are hungry, I'm just wary of tweaks that's all
Fruit & yogurt is fab
