Is this a good diet for me?

I hate not being full after a meal and I need to lose weight so I thought of a special diet that I find easy for my body to be on. I wake up and eat an extremely light breakfast (piece of bread, apple, few bites of leftover food...) and when its time for lunch, I eat whatever I want and as much as I want. Then, when its time for dinner, I again eat something extremely light or skip the meal altogether. My usual diet consists of a light - medium breakfast with a medium - heavy lunch and dinner. Do you think that this diet plan is effective or is it not gonna work? If so then what other ways are there to lose weight that are similar to this one?

Welcome to social slimmers.

When you say you eat whatever you want for your lunch, does that mean?
Are you eating much protein within your meals? Meats, fish, beans, eggs? These help keep you feeling full in between meals.
Are you eating a decent portion of fruit/veg with your meals?

Not sure what the yes refers to, but if it's to the protein and fruit/veg, then that's a good start.

By generally reducing how much chocolate/crisps/fatty foods you eat, it can help towards losing weight.
I would do some research on some weight loss plans and see which one might suit you best. I'm not saying you should join something, but do a little research and see what kind of plan may be best suited to you and your habits.
I personally follow Slimming World and that has always worked for me, but there are a few people on here who follow a clean eating plan that they enjoy and it works for them. As the saying goes, everyone is different, and our bodies react in different ways to the plans available.

A couple of tips I will give you though, make sure you drink plenty of water. 2 litres a day at least.
Also, don't cut out the 'bad' foods completely. Your body needs some fats to survive, and it helps your body process all the food you eat. Just have things sparingly. If your weakness is chocolate, buy the snack size packs and allow yourself one a day when you want one.
If you drink alcohol, switch from beer/wine to spirits and a diet mixer. Wine is awful for weight loss, which really stinks because I love wine
Make sure you measure out portions of rice and pasta, and potatoes. I use the recommended portions on the sides of the packets. Too much of these can hinder losses, plus I know I feel so bloated when I eat too much of them. I try to only have one of them a day, so if I have rice for lunch, I avoid potatoes and pasta for my tea. I at least don't feel like I've got a balloon stuck up my top

Thank you so much for your detailed answer! I'll try to use your advice as much as I can and I'll surely do a little more research. Thanks again

Can you give an example of your whatever you want lunches for the last 2 days just to get an idea? Maybe even all your meals for the last 2 days if you can?

Do you count your calories? I ask because you say you skip dinner ... I'm wondering if you are under eating which can stop us from losing weight (after a short period of losing).

Are you losing weight solely or losing weight and exercising or do you have an active job?

Eat clean
Eat green
Drink water 2-3 litres a day
Sweet over white potatoes
Keep carb fruits to (breakfast/lunch)
Berries lots of berries
Replace coffee with green peppermint tea

I'm opposite to Sarah ... carbs make you sleep at night so I have them with dinner. Also I bloat so I pref to be bloated when I'm at home ready for my PJs
