Chorizo help

Hi everyone, after 10 days off plan, I'm getting back on plan today. Been flicking through my recipes quite a few use chorizo, is chorizo high in syns or can someone suggest alternatives for it.
Many thanks

Chorizo isn't exactly low in Syns because it contains fatty bits within it.
It is however, very delicious!

I've just taken this from the SW app...

Before SW I would make a stir-fry with loads of veg: onion, garlic, peppers, carrots, cabbage, courgette, mushrooms, tomatoe AND add 2 small picante chorizo chopped into little pieces.
My question is can I still have this type of meal on SW and how are the Syns calculated. Would you take the total Syn value of the chorizo and then divide into how many portions I get from the cooked stir-fry dish?

In short, yes you can, and yes that's what you would do to calculate syns. That's how I make my meals when I use stuff that isn't syn free
For example, we make a chorizo pasta dish that uses onion, tomato, pasta, herbs and chorizo. I use 100g chorizo between 2 people, so it makes each portion 6 syns.

Oh that is super news!!

My way of eating doesn't have to change too much.

I normally use more veg than the chorizo anyway. I love the hot, smoky taste it gives the dish and the texture too. I probably use about 75g to 100g. As it's only me I get around 4 portions. I freeze the rest in portions. So the syns won't be too much then.

Have you tried the Heck Paprika Chicken Sausages? I use those in place of chorizo- they're 0.5 syns per sausage!

I recently discovered a reduced fat chorizo in Tesco, 5 syns per 45g serving, and it’s lovely
