Final last 6lbs

Hi everyone,

I am new to this site, I have only 6 pounds to lose and really want to do this before Christmas however I thought I would stop going to class as the time doesn't suit anymore and could do it myself but feel I have gone off plan a little more than usual. Is there anyone else doing it without going to class every week would if you have some advice and motivational tips? Thanks so much.

Hi Anna, welcome to the forum!

I do SW without going to class and I've found that it really is about tailoring the plan to suit you.

Firstly, are you keeping a food diary? You can either write it down or start a food journal on here (I do both). Holding yourself honestly accountable can make all the difference. I know a lot of people who use Instagram as a tool to keep on top of it, and this is also a great way to network with other slimmers.

I also do batch cooking once a month, spend about 3 or 4 hours in the kitchen and I usually cook five dishes, one for each day of the week. That way, I've got no excuses like getting in from work and not feeling like cooking :P

Welcome to Social Slimmers

I agree with kay, keeping track of your foods, whether on paper or online, is a must. Otherwise you end up like me and thinking that you've been really good all week, but really you've overeaten/drank on your syn allowance and you don't get the losses you want.

Batch cooking is also a fantastic idea. Especially for those lazy days
I will admit to not doing any of this for a while, but I've really enjoyed freshly cooking something when I get home recently, especially my veggies

Hello girls, thanks so much for the tips. I feel that not going to a class I will get lazy and just get back into my old ways. I think keeping the diary and batch cooking are the way to go. I think if you don't put effort in to something you are not going to succeed and it's so worth it in the end. I have to admit I am finding these cold evenings that I crave all the wrong foods! Need to get out of that way of thinking. It's great having a forum like this when I am not attending class. Thanks again for your advice😀
