Hi All

Just wanted to say hello. I'm finally joining a SW class tonight after weeks of putting it off.

I had my Son 20 months ago and have gained over 3 stone in that time. I followed SW about 10 years ago and managed to lose almost 6 stone so to put at least half of it back on is really disappointing.
I'm looking for a bit of support if anyone has time, and hopefully I can do the same in return.

I'll start a food diary tomorrow after I know all the facts and figures tonight. I'm sure it has all changed significantly since I last went to a class.

Thanks for reading the ramble

Sarah x

*trundles out the welcome wagon* Hey Sarah, welcome!

My first piece of advice to you is to be kind to yourself, and be patient with yourself. Being disappointed in putting some of the weight back on is of course natural, but your body has been through childbirth and your life must be really busy now!

You've taken the first step towards what you want, which is fantastic. We're a friendly and helpful bunch (I've only been here a few weeks, I think, and I'm loving it) and we'll do whatever we can to provide some extra support.

Best of luck on your SW journey!

Hi Sarah, welcome to Social Slimmers

SW has changed a fair bit since you would have last followed the plan but if you have any questions there's quite a few people here that follow SW and are willing to help

Good luck getting back on track and ask away if you need anything!

Good luck! x

Hey all- and Happy Friday

Thanks so much for the lovely welcome.

I went to class and was disappointed to see the gain was more than I thought. I've found things tricky since I became a Mum so I really need to get organised. I was a red/green girl back in the day so this extra easy is all new to me. I'm guessing you can still chuck the odd red and green in if you want to? I probably should have asked that.

I'll start myself up a diary/journal. I think that might help me out.

Yes, there's nothing wrong with having a red or green day of it works for you
There arent many people on here who have ever followed red or green, but there are some of us long standing SW'ers who can remember those days

Ask whatever you need to though, we're here for the support!!

I know...it's funny when you mention it to people and they don't know what you are talking about. I think red days give me a good boost when I'm struggling a bit so I'll keep them in reserve for now and see how I get on with this new way.

I remember the red and green days! Red was always my preferred option!

Hurrah

I liked red days as they were great for weight loss, although green were nice and comforting if you felt in one of those hungry moods.
