HELP Slimming WORLD.BLUES

Hey guys hope it's OK to join in on.just looking for some reassurance. Iam 4lb shy of loosing 3 stone I was feeling great my confidence was slowly coming back I'm 2 almost 3 dress sizes down. But the other day a photographer took a picture of me and my kids doing a fun run I cried so hard I was sick when I looked at it. When I see it I look 5 times bigger than when I started I have been nominated for women of the year my class is on Friday morning I really don't think I can face it I feel soo ashamed. I was just wondering if anyone else has felt like this will it pass? Sorry for moaning

It will pass we all feel like that.

I was told that for every stone that you loose it takes 1 year for your mind to adjust to it. which does make sense.

I lost 3 stone before i had my daughter and still felt biggier than i was. My leader lost 9 stone and she still gets days like that.

I would look back on the journey you have taken and how much weight you have lost and have keep off. Hopefully you will never go back there again. You have done so so well.

You are an inspiration to me as i would like to loose that much myself. i have had a few stumbles on my way but am slowly getting back to it.

Please don't give up everyone on here is ready to support you.

Thinking of you

Of course it's ok for you to join in!! the more the merrier on here
Firstly, congratulations on losing so much so far, that's a brilliant loss! And yay for the dress sizes too!
I think the worst thing is that we never see the change in ourselves.
We can get to our target weights and into much smaller clothes, but when we look in the mirror or at pictures, we never see how we actually look. I think it's a form of body dismorphic disorder to be honest. We can't see past how we used to look and see how far we've come.
Have you tried comparing a picture of before you started SW and a more recent one? That helps me personally, it's easier to see where I've lost it. Plus I think I imagine that I was bigger than I actually was, so it's not too bad wen I compare pictures.

I think dirtydancing is right in that it will pass, but it won't be quickly, it'll take some time.

You will get there, and we are all here for support when you need it
