Getting complacent! Easy free foods?

Hey everyone,
Very new to this! But have been reading posts for a few weeks and getting inspiration so I thought why not just join

I signed up to slimming world a couple of weeks ago, had an initial loss of 7lb and 4.5lb loss a few days ago (weigh in is Wednesday)

At first I was getting really used to it with the new found confidence of losing so fast, but since my weigh in I'm starting to think I'm getting a little too comfortable and letting things slip..

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas of free foods that I could try that I haven't heard about so far.. I've been having..

- Mullerlights
- Mug shots (less than1% fat)
- Low fat supernoodles

But I haven't heard about any more useful products that are free other than these few? It would be great to get some new ideas for quick meals/snacks as I'm getting a bit bored with the same things!!

Thank you in advance x

Welcome to social Slimmers Jord
And congratulations on your losses so far, that's fantastic!

Have you checked out the recipes on the SW website? There are lots on there and you can specify different search criteria, e.g. Length of time taken, a particular ingredient, etc.

Hoummous is always a good idea - 400g can chickpeas, 2 tbsp lemon juice, 1 garlic clove, 2 tbsp fat free natural yogurt, paprika. Blend the. Chickpeas until smooth, then add on the rest and blitz until mixed. Add paprika to taste, and more yogurt if you want it creamier. It's ideal with carrot sticks, pepper sticks and cucumber sticks

If you like eggs what about making a quiche that you can snack on when the mood takes? Not a fan of eggs myself, but there will be a recipe on here somewhere, or on the SW website.

Batch cooking is the best idea for quick meals. Spend one day cooking a variety of things, and then when you are short on time (or can't be bothered cooking ) you've got something in the freezer.
I've frozen so many things - curries, chilli, bolognese, casseroles, mash potato, rice, pasta, and who knows what else lol

My go to is the Hifi bars. Technically only free if you use them as your B choice, but I don't have bread or cereal so they're always my B choice. But still only 3 Syns each for the Light bars.

My supper most nights consists of blueberries, tangerines and an apple with a mug of Bovril. Really satisfies me and syn free too.

I find jacket potatoes and baked sweet potatoes really useful, especially with baked beans/cheese.
Couscous can also be made in minutes and bulks up a salad nicely
