Sweet potato fries

Has anyone managed to make a batch which aren't still soft? If so, how did you do it??

Mine are always tasty but a bit floppy

thanks in advance

Mine tend to be the same as yours, as do my butternut squash chips!
I don't know how to get them to stop doing it, they just aren't fluffy like normal potatoes...

No Par Boil???

Hello

I read somewhere on the interwebs that you don't need to par boil Sweet Spus before you chip them as they are softer than normal potatoes.

I am going to try them tonight - making chips with Sweet Spuds but spraying them straight with Garlic Fry Light and seasoning.

Lets see what happens

I never par boil any potatoes before I put them in the oven, especially sweet potatoes.
It's too much hassle for me, I can't be bothered!

I have made them many times and I don't bother boiling them, give them around 30-40 minutes depending on your oven, I usually pop them on 200. I like them with smoked paprika too! Enjoy xxx

Someone I follow on Instagram does carrot chips, she says to do them at 220C for 25 minutes and season well, and apparently hers come out crispy. Think I'm going to try this at some point; I didn't like the sweet potato fries for your exact reasons.
