Christmas epic fail

Hi

Did anyone else have really good intentions for Christmas and then the day came and that got blown out of the water?

I am back to work today and feeling massive, should be the kick I need to get back on track hopefully!

x

Nope. I fully intended to enjoy the Christmas break and a few days around it and I did. I don't regret a single thing because I enjoyed myself and had fun.

Back in work next week but I'll be starting to get back on track this week and it'll be better once I'm back in a routine.

Hi
Don't feel bad, it's a difficult time of year, you can totally move on from this. ((hugs))

I didn't eat too much Christmas Day, but the amount I ate around Christmas Day and the amount I have drunk has made me have to draw a line under it!! I sort of wish I did feel bloated and horrible because that would give me the kick up the bum I need but I know it's better to do it sooner rather than later. As long as you enjoyed it try not to feel bad, I know it's easier said than done but kicking yourself for putting on weight at Christmas isn't going to make you feel any better in a hurry I've put on 4lbs if it makes you feel any better

I thought I'd put on 6 or 7 pounds (weighing on my scales) but the SW scales showed only 3, now this morning on mine I have dropped 3, so now agreeing with slimming world, so I think some of this weight gain is water retention (I did notice that my hands were quite puffy looking)..... too much salt and processed foods probably, so don't be disheartened if you have gained more than you thought, it may not be a true gain.

Thanks ladies! Appreciate the nice words! My normal class wasn't on on Monday so this Monday is my first weigh in after Xmas, I weighed myself on Boots scales and I had put on 4lb, part of me doesn't want to go and try and pull it back before I do but I know it is a slippery slope so onwards and upwards x

The worst thing you can do is weigh yourself on different scales to the ones at group. They will never give the same reading. Plus it's best if it's at the same time of day as earlier you'll weigh less and later you can weigh more.
Strange that your group wasn't on on Monday- I'm a Monday weigher and mine was. They should be open 52 weeks a year, even if it's just to weigh and go

I know, I usually weigh at boots on a Monday morning and they give me a good indication. I don't like surprises! lol.
I go to one in London, its just a drop in one and the city is dead this time of year so they closed as was a bank holiday. I could've gone to another one I know but I will wait now til Monday
