I am avoiding mince pies this year. Having just paid £330 for two theatre trips I can't bloody afford to ho wild on food! Lol

Blimey pinkie! the starvation diet works in the short term anyway

At the moment I am thinking that the hardest bits will be the over Christmas drinks out with friends, I am at my mum's house Christmas day so all the goodies will be at her house.. Usually we have bacon sandwiches for breakfast, which is easily doable for me, I'll have loads of veggies and meat and only one or 2 potatoes for dinner, definitely having pudding though! I can live without the cheese and biscuits, in fact, half the time we forget to get them out because we are all too full from eating Christmas dinner. I'm not going to count syns but I am going to try and make sensible eating choices. (not sure about the wine though) I think the important thing to remember is it really is only one day (that's what I am trying to tell myself) and you can eat sensibly every other day, so one day isn't going to derail you

Christmas dinner with the trimmings is pretty standard in my house. I try not to go over the top, it's just a glorified sunday roast after all. It's the period just after christmas that gets me. It doesn't help that the go to present most people buy me is a bottle of something. and naturally after a couple of drinks you reach for the snacks so the alcohol doesn't go to your head too quickly lol. I think I may just need to get over this holiday the best I can and start again on Jan 1st
