Can't thank you enough for the warm welcome few months back and best of luck to you all over Christmas ~ have a wonderful day; regardless if you're keeping to plan or not

Thank you! . I didnt think i would reach it as couldnt get past 11st 10lbs at home - just melted off with slimming world .

Good luck over xmas period, really trying time with all the luxury foods and drinks around. I still have to buy it in for the family so seeing it daily is testing my willpower! Luckily get my chocolate fix from the hi-fi bars.

See you around xx

Hi. I'm new too. Looking for a diet that suits. You recommend slimming world then? I'm trying to choose between slimming world, 5:2 or the cambridge diet.

Hi! There's certainly a lot of diet and lifestyle changes on the net, can be difficult to see which one would suit you best. I personally wanted a lifestyle change as i couldn't break the habit of choosing high fat foods over more healthy options, hence the 5:2 diet wouldn't suffice for me. I don't know much about Cambridge diet im afraid so cant really comment on that :/.

Slimming world has definitely played well in my books. I've not had to do alot to get such a dramatic loss and im still losing it steady each week. I work out 5 times a week at home which i did before hand - i just needed help with the food part, lol.

Maybe give it ago and see how you get on, its all trial and error.

Good luck! X

Hi Sticker I've tried all 3, couldn't stick to the 5:2, I found that too hard, I used to be a Cambridge diet consultant, but then came to realise that the weight just piled back on once you stopped, and I feel it messed with my metabolism, and made me gain even more in the long run, but I do find the slimming world works for me, at last a diet I can stay on long term, and I am losing an average of 2 pounds a week, that's a lot of weight in one year! It's the only diet that seems to work for me in the long term, but I do have a medical condition, I had thyroid cancer nearly 30 years ago now, so don't have a Thyroid and am permanently on meds, I had all but given up trying to lose weight, but at last I think I will finally be able to rid myself of all the weight gained during my treatment
