Hello! New Member

Well I just thought I would say hi. I've just joined up here today.

I've done slimming world in the past but unfortunately couldn't afford to go any more. I've got all the books and things at home though so I thought hopefully with some friendly support online I could follow the plan and do well on it.

I'm just trying to get back in to losing weight after having a baby on 24th June. I was a surrogate for my sister (and brother in law) who is unable to have children herself. I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl via C-section and am trying to get my body back!

I'm a married mum to two boys aged 6 and 9 and have a 17yr old step son too. I live in Leeds and work full time so life is pretty busy.

In my spare time (what little there is of it!!) I enjoy crafting and making things from sewing / crocheting etc. I like reading and tonight I am just about to complete day 3 in week one of couch to 5k!! Before getting pregnant with my niece I was up to being able to slowly jog 6k without stopping but obviously it's going to take a while to get back to that point after the C-section.

As my user name suggests I love ALL things Doctor Who and am a pretty big geek

Nice to "meet" you all x

Hi and welcome to Social Slimmers! That's so amazing you were a surrogate for your sister, what a wonderful thing you did for her!

Best of luck with your weight loss

I'm also a fellow geek!

I was loving the new Doctor Who series on Saturday. So happy to have something decent on tv on a Saturday night!

What an amazing thing you have done for your sister; I think that is one of the most selfless acts I've heard of, and seen, in a long time.
