Daniellejwx That's really good about OH's job and great you're thinking of booking a holiday. I love Rome. I've been twice and I would love to go back again. It is an amazing place. I couldn't get over the amount of things to see. Every time you turn a corner there's another monument.

Milly Ooooh Australia, that's exciting. Where abouts are you off too? And you're getting building work done. That sounds interesting too. Looking forward to hearing all about it.

Woggles Taking the caravan to France with the dogs sounds great. France has to be one of my favourite places, but I'm slightly biased - OH was brought up there and has quite a few family members still there. Chat away. That's why I started this thread

I'm glad everyone has joined this little chatty thread. I'm looking forward to getting to know you all a bit better.

JaquiE no not going anywhere, got family visiting so there'll be plenty of day trips to entertain my cousins little girl

Danielle Rome sounds lovely! I'm always a fan of sightseeing and old architecture

Milly I'm very jealous! Australia is on my (not so short) list of places to go are you feeling better now by the way?

Woggles France sounds lovely, it's one place I think I'd really like, especially the country side

Sarah, I think that sounds similar to what we'll be doing too. As much as I would like to go away somewhere more exotic, I've not long noticed my passport is out of date, numpty that I am

We've hired a cottage in Charmouth and I'm so looking forward to walks along the Jurassic coast. We're taking the dog too. Next year it'll be Tenerife again. I'd love to travel the world but have left it too late and my ill health is now very limiting. I'm very worried about my back pain that suddenly appeared this afternoon. I've never had it anywhere near this bad. Daughter gets back from Wales tomorrow but I can't drive to pick her up. Plus it's my friend's wedding evening reception with all my colleagues tomorrow and I'm so looking forward to it. I've got my fingers crossed that my muscles will relax overnight and I'll be OK.

Ali is your back not easing off any. Have you taken anything for it? What about a hot shower or a hot water bottle. That would be a shame to miss the wedding.

Unfortunately i'm on a really small contract so only do 2 shifts unless they want over time.. am trying to find a 2nd job or hubby to get a job (he's self employed and has been looking after the girls while I've been in uni) - we're finding it hard at the moment must admit.

Hi everyone! *waves*

Sounds like lots of you have got some great holidays planned. Hope the weather plays ball for you all.

We're off to Scotland with the extended family this Saturday. Unfortunately, the weather is forecast to be wet all week, which will be a bit rubbish.

Hoping a miracle will occur, and we'll have some dry days, but it doesn't seem likely.

I'd love an 'abroad' holiday....but just to get the passports for us all would cost a fair amount before even considering the cost of the holiday!

Luckily, like Woggles, we also have a folding caravan, so we have a fair few weekends away in that. We also have a 1972 VW Campervan, which we also get away in from time to time.

So Woggles, what kind of fold down caravan do you have? We used to have an Esterel, but that unfortunately broke, so we have now got a Rapido Orline. I love the folders....so easy to tow, but still dead quick to put up.
