I'd need the sugar too Elen!
Well done on resisting the rest of the chocolate fest though, good will power there always helps when you've got something planned to help resist things

Work is kicking my behind! It's so busy between now and October I forgot how tired I get at the end of a 11 hour day lol. It's been so quiet over summer I forgot how busy it gets lol. I'd complain if it wasn't busy though, I love being busy all day, stops me sitting at my desk getting bored and eating tons of rubbish!

How's everyone getting on?

I took the decision that I would like to join a SW group last week as I don't think the online plan will keep me on track in the long run. I had already paid up-front for 12 weeks online, but I emailed customer services and they are kindly sending me 12 weeks of vouchers and free group membership so I can join a group I can't get to a group near where I live but there is one very near my work that meets at 5:30 and 7:30 so I can go to one of them depending when I finish work that day.

Hope everyone's having a good bank holiday, it's tipping it down here so it's a day indoors getting some chores done and hopefully it'll clear up tomorrow as we are planning a walk in the mountains

Wow how fab of SW to support you moving from online to group! The 5.30pm is likely best.. I go to 7.30pm class by me and I don't eat before I go.. so I'm starving and eating at nearly 9pm by the time I get home.. lol not ideal but parking is a nuisance nearby before 6pm.

It's chucking it down here too - I've been working all day so looking forward to tomorrow off. hoping not to have to work till Thursday.

Don't think I'm doing too well this week, been struggling a bit and ate some chocolate at the cinema last night so not expecting much when I weigh on Tuesday, a loss would be nice.

That's amazing support Elen! And I love being at my group, it absolutely helps (even when I'm off the rails) but getting those losses and being able to get the cheers from others is brilliant

We've had some pretty good weather here, it's not thrown it down at least which is nice!

I'm looking forward to group tomorrow, had some non plan things yesterday but otherwise I've been completely on plan so here's hoping for at least an ok loss!

I'm back to trying to catch up!!

Well I'm glad some of you are having a good time with the powers that be at Slimming World!! My las t two week of the 6 weeks I paid for was when I was rushed into hospital. I contacted my consultant and they still took them off. I also contacted SW to tell them that I was very ill and in hospital but I had no reply. This morning it flashed up that my membership to the LifeLine Online website will be ending as I haven't been. Again I had 'booked' the time off telling my consultant I was going to be in Australia for 4 weeks! Either left hand isn't talking to right hand or right hand is being ignorant! Whatever it is I'm pissed off!

oh milly that's naughty if you booked a holiday. I must admit when I ended up in hospital I texted my consultant but the 'sick' didn't make any difference, my countdown went ahead as I hadn't booked any holidays at the start of it. I only lost a week as weighed in the following week but as I said to my husband if I'd been in at the start and for weeks on end I'd have been pretty pee'd off at losing the money.

I guess all we can do is look at the bigger picture - that the end of our journey is ahead of us, and we need to keep going despite ups and downs.

I know I should look at the big picture but I did as required, as below, and was ignored. I will now go away and breathe deeply with a mantra.

What if I can't get to group for a while?

You're able to miss six weeks a year, without charge, for holidays/illness and while ever you’re using these weeks (booked in advance with your Consultant), LifelineOnline will be available to you.

Under exceptional circumstances, such as hospitalisation, we will always extend the six week holiday/illness allowance. Talk to your Consultant, as it's at their discretion.

Because LifelineOnline is a tool for attending members, if you stop coming to the group, and don’t attend for 4 weeks, your LifelineOnline access will end .

Once you return to group, you’ll receive free access once again!

Are you still away now Milly or are you back at home?

Maybe they're saying that because your card hasn't been used at a group for several weeks, it's just the online access you lose.
I think the only way the card and the website are linked is just like a register that you would ahev at school. The card just tells the website that 'yes you are still attending a class'

If you've booked your holidays with your consultant, that will be fine, and your card will still work once you make it back into a class. It's just that because you haven't used your card in however many weeks, that 'register' hasn't been marked, so the website thinks you've given up.
Once you get back to a group and your card is used (the register is marked) you should be fine to get back to the online stuff.

Does that make sense??

the way they explained it to me in group - in my case, was that at the start of the 6 week countdown they ask if any holidays - if none booked then none can be taken and the countdown continues. I did hope it wouldn't be the case with me being in hospital but unfortunately they wouldn't override that, I think that must be up to the consultant though from what that text says you copied and pasted.

I would try not to be too cross about it and move on though we need the support of a group a lot of the time and lets face it - it's you that benefits from getting to goal in the long run.

The consultant should be able to use a 'hospitalisation' override for sickness, and as far as I'm aware, should still be able to use it whilst on a countdown. I would assume that if they did this, your LifelineOnline access should still continue (just because you're in hospital/sick doesn't mean you don't want to access everything!)

You're right in that once you've booked the countdown, you can't book any holidays. That's why they ask before you actually book the countdown, but I would have thought they can still book sickness.

I'll ask my consultant on Monday, see what she says about it! See if she can clarify
