not working :(

I've been at SW for a few weeks now. Overall I lost 8lbs in about 6 weeks - I was happy with slow and steady, but now I have gained about 3lbs back and I haven't changed anything. I am an old hand at the dieting malarky so have my head around the 1/3 speed thing. I don't know what is going on. I am thinking of chucking it and going to ww. Has anyone else had this experience?
Thanks in advance!
Vx

Could it be due to something else like fluid retention, time of the month? Sometimes a gain one week comes off as massive loss the week after. Give it at least another week and maybe try a couple of SP days. Wishing you luck.

Do you keep a food diary? Just wondered if people could give you a little feedback so see if anything could be picked up as to what may be causing the gains?

I am a very slow loser when it comes to weight loss and it is very frustrating so I feel your pain! x

I do keep a diary. Do you think I should post what I had the last couple of days?

I've found posting my food here in a journal (a lot of us do this) helps keep me on track and I get tips / ideas from others journals too.

Could size of portions and / or amount of water you're drinking need tweaking?

I can understand your frustration but I'm sure you can tweak things and get things going. How much weight have you got to lose? (you can fill in your stats on the User CP so we have an idea) as sometimes if you're nearer goal you'll lose less - like with all diets.

Glad you are here, and I've found the board really supportive and hope you do too.

I have about 1 stone/1.5 stone to lose. I exercise pretty regularly. Running once a week, spin a couple of times along with the odd metafit weekly too. I am no gym bunny and if i miss the odd week I don't freak out! I appreciate the advise ladies. Will post what I had yesterday.,.....

Will need to check my diary which is at home for the previous few days but they don't look unlike this although I think my syns were more in the 9/10 range for Friday and Saturday.

Looks good to me and well done. Starting up a journal might help others check everything over as time passes. I'm sure over a level period of say a month you'll likely see losses even if they fluctuate a bit?

I think exercise can cause some water gain / muscle repair etc I certainly saw that when I was still lifting weights. I'm not doing so much these days but hope to add more in.

Good luck - look forward to seeing how you progress.
