5th day of the week on plan (don't know where this new focus is coming from, but I'm damn sure I need to hold onto it!!)

B: huge fruit salad and pot of yoghurt
L: boiled egg salad (2syns for Mayo)
D: roast chicken, potatoes and veg (2syns for gravy)
+ rhubarb "crumble" thing with oats on top (hexb) and 4tbspn LF evaporated milk (4syns)

Hexa: skimmed milk of tea/coffee
Snacks: fruit and packet of onion ring 'crisps' (3syns)

My consultant always says; one bad meal out of 21 isn't going to ruin your week so well done LittleLady, and well done for being two stone lighter.

Another fab day Jo! How was the "crumble"?

The rest of my day goes like this...

L - SW chilli con carne with lots of veg and cheese as my hexa. Had a fudge melt tea with that.
D - mushroom and butternut squash Filo pot... I had a whole sheet of the Filo pastry as I kept ripping the thing so I'll say 7 syns for it (til I check!) Had that with broccoli, cauliflower, green beans and sweetcorn and roasted peppers and tomatoes sprinkled with paprika and garlic.
Snacks - 2x Mikado (1 syn), one piece if dark chocolate (1 syn) and an apple

Ending the day on 9 syns

I know the feeling LittleLady, there have been many times when I've just wanted to eat what I want. The last planned off plan meal I had was on my birthday and that was still tweaked as I had a pie from the chippy but made SW chips! I haven't had a proper fried chip since December! I don't know if I should be proud or shocked. Lol!

Littlelady - You're absolutely right about not writing the whole week off for one 'bad' meal and to be proud of 2st lost. The right mindset to be in.

Spoony - Your menu yesterday sounds lovely - it's so interesting to hear other people's choices as I for one get in a rut and seem to cook similar things and need some inspiration. I love butternut squash with lots of herbs and garlic - may have to pick some up.

Crumble was yummy - although don't know as anyone not eating SW for as long would find it so... just rhubarb (from my garden. #smugface) tiny bit of water and some sweetner in a dish, microwaved for couple mins and oats at a bit more sweetner sprinkled over top and then baked for 20mins til the juices bubble up through the oats and caramelise. Nothing special but worth my hexb.

Never a good first day back at work when you wake up 30 minutes before you start. Still managed to run around like crazy get in my healthy breakfast and only 10 minutes late...oops. Ive signed myself up for a walking half marathon and a 5K. Determined to get fit. I started by getting a proper supportive pair of shoes. Theres a brilliant running shop here where they put you on the treadmill to assess everything and then you try on loads of shoes on the treadmill to find the perfect pair.

I might try the couch to 5K app as in apparently 6 weeks you can go from not being able to run to running 5k with ease!! Weigh in day tomorrow so hoping for good things.
Hope everyone else day went ok

Jill
