I Did It Six Times Last Night.

Pee that is.

I'm not a huge drinker of water, can't stand the stuff TBH, but I do manage a couple or three pints early on in the day to keep functioning. Everything is normal during the day but from early evening on I start going to the loo more. It has been increasing from about once or twice a night to this level now and they're proper lengthy pees not like an infection or anything. I assume it's all down to the fruits and vegetables but anyone else peeing for a medal?

It's not doing much for my quality of sleep either especially as at the moment we have no upstairs loo and I have to wake up properly to go downstairs rather than stagger blindly to the bathroom.

I get it when my body is dropping water weight. Usually a couple of days after a takeaway binge when my eating has gone back to 'normal'. Can be every hour. I find a good sweat before bed can reduce it. Long slow burn on the exercise bike or something followed by nice hot shower then tuck myself in to the soft cosy sheets. I look at it like being a camel and all the water stored in my fat cells is coming out so am getting smaller
Always worth drinking a large glass of water before bed. Basically your body has a lymph? system that is like its drain working all day. However your brain does not it only cleans itself by flooding fluid through its cells when you sleep. It is one of the reasons we need to sleep so toxins do not build up and cause damage via inflammation. There is an excellent TED talk on neuroscience where they are trying to link modern lifestyle and poor sleep hygiene to the onset of diseases like Alzheimer's and Dementia.

In short, yes. All day lol.

Because your bosy is taking on more water, whether it's drinking water on it's own, or eating lots more salad and fruit, you will find that you need to wee more.
If it's disturbing your sleep, maybe try to slow down on how much liquid you drink before you go to bed? Maybe that might reduce how many times you end up getting up during the night?
