Lifeline Weightloss Planner

I'm still trying to find my way around the Lifeline website. It's not the most intuitive one I've ever used. I'm being good and entering all I eat but finding it frustrating that I can't enter quantities. What if I only want 1 Babybel light and not three or only use 100 ml of Almond on my Weetabix and not the daily 500ml allowed? I've sort of left it that what I did have yesterday probably adds up to the full version of either of the amounts offered.

Also I'm trying to stick to only using recipes from the SW booklet given so far, I am going to buy more books next week, but can't find anywhere to add the whole recommended SW meal like the Easy Chicken Curry with Spicy Vegetables we've had tonight. Is there somewhere or does every single item in the recipe have to be found and entered individually? If the recipe says it all free bar 2 Syns I'm sometimes not sure which part is the Syns. Surely if they are their own recipes they should be listed somewhere??

Hubby seems to be enjoying it anyway. He's lost half a stone already.

It is a bit annoying that you can't enter the recipes automatically, but you can either enter each ingredient from the list individually, or you can enter your own Syns. Just enter the title of the recipe, and then you can put in the amount of syns.
The point of the planner is so that you an see how many portions of free food you've had, and when you look at the overview you'd also be able to see how many portions of S and P foods you've had.

As for entering individual amount of something, I assume you are looking under the 'healthy extra' section when you mentioned it above? For your healthy extras, you are meant to eat those portions, or you aren't gettinn enough calcium/fibre (depending of if its a or b) in your diet. They recommend those portions to give you enough each day. You will be able to put in that you've had a single babybel, but you'll have to use the Syns section and use your Syns for it. Same with the milk as far as I'm aware.

I use the online planner, so let me know if you get stuck

Slimmingworld recipe confusion

Hi, I' m new to looking at Slimmingworld and have yet to decide if it is for me. Both my husband ( who has lost 8 lb in two weeks ) and I have have been trying to follow recipes out of the mags which have been lovely but I am confused when planning meals as to whether they are original, green or extra easy. I am also having the same problem when I look on the slimmingworld website at the recipes, the recipes again look fab but I dont know whether they agin are original, green or extra easy as it doesnt say. How do I know which is which without sounding daft????

Thanks

If you're a new member you'll be following the Extra Easy plan. For the meals on the website it will say something like;

Serves: 4
Prep time: 15 minutes + marinating overnight
Cook time: 10-13 minutes
Ready in: Over 60 Minutes
Syns per serving: 1 on Extra Easy (there's a little arrow next to this to see how many syns it is for Green or Red but you shouldn't need to worry about that.)

It automatically assumes that you are following the Extra Easy (or Original) plan so will always show you the syns for that plan.

Hope this helps

The magazine will show syns for the Extra Easy plan, and the Extra Easy SP.
All recipes can be used on any plan, the new Extra Easy, or the former Red (Original) and Green plans. Anyone who joined after Christmas will be following the new Extra Easy plan that talks about Speed and Protien foods.

As Spoony said, the website will show syns against recipes for all the plans, but you will just need to focus on the Extra Easy syns

Hi Pshaw, I'm sure we will both become better at this as we go along. It's a whole new thing and way of life isn't it! . At least we have places like this where we can ask.
