Hi hevJ and welcome! Hopefully you will be gone into the next group very soon.

I'm back from hols and weighed myself this morning and just over into the 15's again BUUUTTTT..... I know it won't be long before that comes down again as a lot of it is water retention from the flights so I'm staying here!!!

Onwards and downwards!!
Hi Milly...just popped back to say hi.

Loving the positive attitude. If you can't have a bit of a gain when you have a holiday, when can you. Hope you had a great time. Where did you go?

I've not been anywhere exotic...just up to Scotland for a week, and then a couple of camping jaunts around England.

In the whole summer hols, I've just bobbed up and down, losing overall just 1 single solitary pound!

Still...it will be easier once I'm back at work and back to our normal routine.

Hello to HevJ too...hope you are enjoying the SW plan so far.

Hi Looby. Back in the 14's today even if it's 14st 13.8lb!!! Deffo feeling better for it though. Like you say a routine of normality makes all the difference. We toured another part of Australia and it was wonderful. Unfortunately my dieting downfall is wine and we did several wine regions. Hey ho on the bandwagon again! Even your 1lb isn't a gain!!!!

Hi Pink, shouldn't you be in the 13 to 12 group?? We can hopefully join you down there very soon!!

Pink...yes, you need to head over to the 13-12s thread! See you there x x

Hello! I'm 14st 2lbs and have been on the plan for two weeks. I lost 1lb in the first week which I was a bit disappointed by but am trying to be positive. I'm really hoping I can escape the 14 bracket before my holiday next Saturday.
At the moment, I'm struggling with evening meals to be honest. My other half isn't on plan so its hard trying to cook different meals. I suppose thats a problem that most people have! Looking forward to getting some tips on here

Hi there...hope you're having a good week.

Evening Meal-wise...I don't ever make a separate meal for myself. My hubby and (obviously) my 5 year old are not doing SW, however, we do tend to all eat the same evening meal. So many of the SW recipes are family favourites - curries, chilli, bolognese, lasagne, risottos etc. and they honestly don't taste that different to the 'normal' ones I used to make (in fact, they often taste better!).

The only difference is that my hubby and son might have more cheese grated on top or their serving of bolognese/chilli. Or hubby might have a naan bread with his curry, whilst I have boiled rice. Or hubby and son might have lashing of butter in their jacket spuds, whilst I don't.

So, make life easier for yourself, and feed everyone the same SW-friendly stuff.

Hope that helps.

I too feed the family with just a few additions the same as Looby. Nobody minds and they get healthy meals cooked from scratch. Its just a case of adapting meals that you already eat to make them SW friendly. They have oven chips, I have SW chips. They have breadcrumbed fish, my is plain. Or it's just a case of removing the fat from your chop/gammon/joint. Hope we've helped Kate x

Yep, same here. In fact i think we're eating better, tastier and certainly more food than before and hubby is loving it.

Hello thank you to you all. Your tips have helped. I think it's definitely the best option to cook the same thing but let my other half have more cheese or dressing for example! What I love about doing slimming world is all the support and friendly advice you get from people such as yourselves xx
