I agree with
Jo.will.Be.Slim, I'd set yourself a mini goal and the reward yourself after you've obtained it. I restarted SW again a couple of weeks ago, so I'm still finding it hard in some respects to limit what I'm having, or to swap something like chocolate for something alot less in syns.
Why not just ask people not to buy you things? Surely they'd be happy to cheer you on with wanting to eat healthier and lose some weight. If you don't want to tell them you're losing weight, just go with the healthy eating thing.
Also, don't forget that starting to do exercise when you haven't done any for some time will 'slow down' the weight loss. It doesn't stop, but because you have excess fluid in your muscles fromthe exercise, you may not look like you are losing as much as you'd hope. You'll most liekly start to lose inches though, so even when you see a small 1lb loss, you may have lost a couple of inches form the exercise, so don't let that dishearten you either
We all have those foods that are always more appealing than a salad (mine's Indian and Chinese food
), and there's nothing stopping you from having them, but just bear in mind that you need to consider what you want more, the chippy, or the drop in weight? It's not an overnight thing, it takes time, but you will get there, you just have to make allowances for things when you want them
(I'm in exactly the same boat as you, but I've been telling myself all of this for the last 2 weeks, so I'm hoping this is the last time I have to re-start SW!)
And I'll stop rambling now
I get carried away lol!
