Through the stone to your zone - 11 to 10

Hello everyone!

I always found these types of threads really motivational, especially as people had the same goals.

My current weight on Tuesday was 11st 4.5 so I have a few pounds to lose until I'm in the 10s.

Is anyone else around this weight and wanting to get into the 10s?

Ooh..me, me! :-)
I'm 11st 3, as at last weigh in. My provisional target is just to get into the 10s to start with (just want that first number to be a lovely 10). Doesn't sound like much to ask for, does it? But yet I seem to be struggling to get there (seem to be losing and then re-gaining the same blooming lb every other week!), so def need some motivation. Let's do it together!

Hello Jo! It's nice to have someone else here.

I would also love to get into the 10s. I'm hoping to get my three stone award on Tuesday though I've had my anniversary this week and Tuesday is my birthday.

I know your consultant has probably asked you, but is there something you're eating which isn't working for you? One of my last group sessions was about getting back to the book and following it to the letter e.g. measuring out milk, making sure you have 6 glasses of liquid a day (which I struggle to do.)

Thanks spoony

Happy belated anniversary and happy birthday for Tues (fingers crossed you'll be the proud owner of a new shiny sticker, but if not I'm sure you'll get it the following week).

Thanks for the advice...and you're absolutely right. Up til a week ago I would've said that I was following the plan and that I couldn't understand why it had stopped working. But last week I decided to go back to basics, weigh everything I should (surprising how off you can be when guesstimating cheese!) and measure and stick to my milk allowance and write everything down etc and, lo and behold, I lost 3.5lbs on Wednesday! Think I'd just got lazy and complacent (still at least I can say I know how to maintain!).

Not expecting to lose this week as I had my birthday on Thursday and got big family bbq tonight and a christening tomorrow but life just gets in the way sometimes, doesn't it. I'll be happy with a maintain on weds Tbh. It's taken me nearly 2yrs to lose 7st 2lbs (reckon another 4 to 7lbs and I'll call target) but, for me, it's been important to enjoy 'life' along the way. I'm in awe of those people who don't let parties, holidays and the dreaded 'beige' food of buffets deviate them but I know being that strict on myself wouldn't work. I dare say I could've got to target 6mths ago if I were able to be so strict but I suppose we're all different.

Thanks Jo and happy birthday for Thursday!

That's a fab weight loss, I suppose it just shows how we do guesstimate wrong.

Losing 7st 2 is a massive achievement; I bet it's changed your life and now you're so close to your target.

I completely agree about still enjoying life; we can't walk around never having the odd treats which are over 15 syns, it's just impossible. You can just say you took the scenic route to get to target, and they do say the slower you lose it, the more likely it is to stay off.

Hope you had a fun at the BBQ and enjoy the christening today.

Still just you and me in this zone, then?! If you get to the wonderful 10s before me, I'll be left here on my own like billy-no-mates!!! Hopefully some more 11s will join us soon!

Good luck for your wi tomorrow and have a fab birthday 🎂

I know what you mean about being naughty! I've bought some cakes from Druckers as a very highly synned birthday treat.

I don't think this forum is as popular yet as it seems very quiet.

I think you'll be off before me then I'll be billy-no-mates! You can set up the next one!

Thanks for the birthday wishes. I think I'm just going to enjoy the day and eat the cake after WI, we're allowed a treat for our birthdays!

Hi Jo, my birthday was a bit of a washout to be honest as I was sent home from work after being sick so I spent most of the day in bed. I did go to group though (as I'd set myself a target to be a healthy weight and lose three stone by my birthday) and I'm happy to say I got my three stone award and was award Slimmer of the Week for the second week in a row.

I'm not 11stone 1 though I think I'll be putting on some weight this week as I recover from being ill and I have got some birthday cake to eat, but I achieved what I wanted to.

Hope your weigh in goes well for you today!
