Adding more carbs to cut out grazing!

I went through a phase of just constantly eating. Grazing all day long on free food. And though my SW leader insists that you can lose weight and still eat unlimited free foods i reckon theres got to be a limit?

Last week i just wanted to eat & eat, and i did and only lost 0.5lb that week. Anyway after a bad start to my week i decided to make sure i increased my carbs at meal times. Having new potatoes with my salad, rice with chilli, savoury rice, pasta & sauce etc. And its worked. Ive not grazed at all, stuck to my 3 meals a day and melon & yogurt at night.

So if you find yourself grazing, perhaps increase you carbs at meal times

Fingers crossed weigh in agrees on thursday

I'm going to give SW another try from next Monday (I'm away this weekend) and I often have a few more carbs to cut the snacking out - works for me too good luck for weigh in x

Oh thats good to know. I kinda wondered if it was having a placebo effect, like i wasnt grazing cos i knew id had extra carbs. But genuinely i havent felt hungry and havent had that nag nag nag either.

Good luck restarting SW! x

Also try adding more protein at mealtimes, keeps you fuller for longer

You don't have to go low carbs, keep them at the level you eat now

I know lots of fad diets say 'no carbs' but having just being new to SW plan I have included more carbs as well so enjoy Green days more as I feel fuller longer and am less likely to snack

Today I'm on a red day and then I find I'm a lot more hungry but have been having fruit/VLF yoghurt as a snack.

I'm so glad to hear increasing the carbs for you has worked! I'm definitely going to try and make sure I have good choices for my HEB on Red days to stop me feeling too hungry

have a great week!
