Help

Hello all, I'm hoping for a little advice as I am really frustrated about my weight. I need to lose 3 stone and nothing seems to work.
I have tried calorie counting, cutting sugar and carbs but I realised these weren't going to be easy to stick to. So then I tried Slimming World. I have stuck to the plan for a week and have not lost a thing!! I really don't know what to do! Has anyone else struggled to lose on slimming world?

Any comments are appreciated

Not sure what a stone is. (Lb) Walk at least an hour a day and drink water like a Camel. I lost 50 lbs about 10 years ago all from walking. I walk at least 2-3 hours a day. I'm in superior shape @ 46.

Hi Qwik, a stone is 14lbs (so 42lbs is my aim) - that is very good advice. Perhaps I'm over complicating my plan. The thing is I can't seem to get the eating part right!

Kate: If you commit to a regimen of walking everyday you don't have to worry about a diet too much. I know, hard part.
I'm 46m, 168lbs. I quit diet soda. Water only. Diet soda messes with you believe it or not. If you walk everyday in 4 weeks or so you'll start dropping. Build your endurance. I can hold 4mph (not sure in metric) darn Brits haha.
Phase 2 carb blockers like Natrol are good to eat before a carby meal. Your body won't absorb carbs. Read about "White Kidney Bean Extract" "BUT" WALKING IS THE KEY. (for me)
Another tid bit. I had a congenital aortic valve replaced & aneurysm that almost popped in my face last year. Lucky! I'm as healthy as a man 1/2 my age says the cardiologist. Walk, Walk, Walk!! [emoji2] GL

Hi Kate

Are you going to class or doing it on your own?

If you are going to class you should have filled out a diary and handed it into your leader, tell her you are not happy at not losing anything and she might be able to advise you where if anywhere you are going wrong, or ways to improve your second week. If you are doing it at home you need to post a couple of days food intake and we might be able to help you out.

I work full time and don't do much exercise but I know that I can lose weight with SW if I follow the plan 100%. I am following the EE/SP days for a couple of days and hopefully this will help speed things up.

Keep at it and don't give up you will lose if you keep going.

I know the feeling. I tried at home but if you go to class you will learn a lot. It can take a week or two to start losing. Maybe you need to keep a food diary and have a look at your syns and make sure younare adding them up correctly. I remember when I first did it I just guessed some and I was well off.

Good luck you can do it, I also have over 3 stone to lose xxx

Hi Brando, just stick with a plan if you have one . Diet & exercise. And don't be one of those who weighs yourself everyday. Always check it the same time, mornings are good after you do your BR stuff. Something a lot of people don't understand to is, just having a glass of water will throw on almost a pound too. After I lost 40 lbs 8 years ago I just walk at least 1 or 2hrs a day at about 4mph if I can, and drink only water. Some studies even show diet soda can discombobulate; (cool word huh?), your metabolism. It also takes a good month or more before your metabolism speeds up from exercise. Then you'll drop lbs. It is without a doubt a lifestyle. Healthy habits you got to be aggressive with almost like an addiction. Well, maybe that's my take on it. But I'm in the best shape of my life in my mid 40's...... for now.....Hope that wasn't bad luck..[emoji15] ha ha
