Hi all. I started slimming world a week or so ago. I lost 6lbs at my first WI so I'm thrilled. However, I had a girly weekend just gone and I'm worried that I may not have stuck to my flexi syns limit :-( dont think I'll lose this week despite the 120 lengths of swimming. How does everyone deal with maintains or gains? I'm hoping to maintain at the worst, although I did have a pub lasagne a few chips, 4 pieces of a large choc bar and a piece of coffee cake so not sure I'm being very realistic. Back on it as of today :-) x

Hi there.
Well done on the first WI.
I'd say that the main thing is that you got straight back on it. Good for you.
Think of this not a just a diet plan to lose weight but a habbitual way of eating and life plan and keep on getting right back at it even if you have a "naughty day"
Good luck for the next weigh in.

Welcome to the forum!

Wow that was such a great loss at your first weigh in, well done!
We all have bad weekends from time to time, but as long as you get back on track then I'm sure there won't be much damage done. Good luck

Sometimes you have to enjoy yourself I think and if you went off plan one day get back on it the next Good luck! When is your weighing in day?

Welcome to Social Slimmers fruitypop

It won't be the first time you go off plan for times with friends, family, occasions etc. We have to enjoy a bit of life or IMO you end up failing altogether I know I did when I deprived myself too much. I follow naughty with extra good days

Good luck you might be surprised.

Just keep reminding yourself why you started down this road to weight loss and tell yourself that it matters what you do next, not what you just did. You simply need to keep giving yourself positive comments in your head and blocking out the negatives ones.
I joined SW on Feb 26 and I have had one gain and one maintain and both times I was expecting them because I knew what I had eaten and even though I felt I could have been angry/ cross with myself, I simply won't allow myself to undo the good I've done so far.

Rachael,
Great advice and well done you on how very well you've done.
Reading this is just what I needed.

I've stupidly just had a day and a half binge and I'm trying now not to allow a third. What IS the matter with me ? I've only just started again for goodness sake !

Well I was very good for the rest of the week and I still lost 2lbs at Thursdays weigh in. I'm so happy with that, 8lbs in a fortnight is more than I ever imagined I'd lose! Thanks for all of your advice :-)

Just goes to show that a slip up isn't the end of the world at all. Well done on the continued loss!
