Disappointed :(

Had my weigh in on Friday and despite following the plan meticulously and swimming nearly 4 miles over 5 days I didn't loose a thing

I'm sure I've lost inches though as I can get into trousers which I couldn't the week before, is that possible? Could I have done too much exercise? Things definitely feel tighter and are looking less wobbly.

Any advise gratefully received x

Swimming isn't in my exercise routine so I can't comment on that but I do know while I have had no changes on the scales sometimes I have had changes in my body, shape and clothes. I've even had comments recently to stop losing weight (not that I think that is right) when actually I'm the same weight when they seen me a couple of months back.

Have you take me measurements Hun? If not take some and go based on those and pictures, they kept me going many times!

x

Try not to be too discouraged. Sometimes I had a few weeks where I would lose nothing and then I would have a big loss. It was like my body was saving it up! And if you feel like your trousers are fitting better then that's a good sign that you're smaller even the scales don't say that you weigh less, so it could be muscle gain

Thanks for the feedback and encouragement, it's so nice to know that in not alone with this, it's still very early days for me as I'm only in week 5.

Definitely wouldn't panic but is is disheartening. Those measurements and pics defo helped me and you could always pop you food diary up for the previous week before at any point and look for suggestions if you think it would be worth while I always took other peoples suggestions and used them as they suited me/if they suited me

I stopped paying much attention to the scales because they don't give a complete picture. They don't account for temporary water loss and gain or for when we trade fat for muscle.

I go by the way my clothes fit and by what the tape measure says.

It's heartbreaking when u know you've worked so hard to get a great loss to of either lost so little or nothin at all. For 2 weeks in a row I only lost half pounds when I stuck to it 110% I was disappointed so then I changed things instead of snackin on free foods like scrambled egg on toast etc I changed it to snacking on fruit an having 3 meals aday. It seemed to work as that week I changed things I went on to lose 2 and 1/2 pounds. I also had 3 pints of beer an I still lost that amount sumtimes I wonder if actually sticking to the plan 100% works lol as most the people at my group are never 100% an still have good losses. Good luck for your next weigh in let us know how u get on x x

Scales lies all the time!;-) If i were you i would be sooooo glad that i lost inches!!! this is the best!! remember that muscles weigh more than fat! fat is very light. so if you lose inches, not kilos it means you transform fat into muscles. more muscles - less fat;-) and soon, trust me , very soon you will start to lose kilos as well! swimming is a wonderful way to lose weight.
