Healthy Extras

Hi Everyone,

I am struggling to get to grips with the Healthy Extras, I'm doing slimming world at home this time and still have all the books but I'm confused on what I can and can't have. For example, I wanted to have a wholemeal pitta bread and on some sites it says only co-op branded ones... confused! I dont want to have to go to different shops for things, whats the best options to use?? Also general advice on both Extras would be so much appreciated!

Thanks peeps,

Bexi

Hi Bexi

The reason you will get quite a lot of different answers is that when manufacturers change products then they can sometimes be added to the Latest Healthy Extras on the SW website - and likewise some are then removed. There was quite a kerfuffle over cereal bars not too long ago lol.

At the moment - on the Latest Healthy Extras list - It is only 1 Weight Watchers Wholemeal Pitta Bread which can be used as a Healthy Extra B.

The lists are quite exhaustive and really hard to copy out but will try and give you a few options here:

BREAD - Healthy Extra B

60g of any wholemeal bread
1 x 50g Weight Watcher Petit Pan Roll
1 x Weight Watchers Wholemeal Pitta Bread (from a 6 pack)
1 x BFREE Multigrain Wrap (only in Asda in the Gluten Free section)

CEREAL BARS - Healthy Extra B

Morrisons NuMe Chewy Cranberry Cereal Bar 1 x bar = B choice all plans
Weetabix Oaty Bar Rainbow Smashems 1 x bar = B choice all plans
Vogel's Wholemeal & Oat Bread, 800g loaf 1 x 42g = B choice all plans
Roberts Bakery Simply Wholemeal Bread, 400g loaf 2 x medium slices = B choice all plan
Morrisons Sultana Bran 35g = B choice all plans
Brennans Be Good Wholemeal Bread, 600g loaf 2 x slices = B choice all plans
Slimming World Seductive Salted Caramel 1 x bar = B choice all plans
Tesco Healthy Living Chocolate & Caramel Cereal Bar 1 x bar = B choice all plans
Healthy Living Apple & Strawberry Cereal Bar 2 x bar = B choice all plans
Asda Chosen By You Vitality Chewy Apple & Raspberry Cereal Bar 1 x bar = B choice all plans
Chosen By You Vitality Chewy Banoffee Cereal Bar 1 x bar = B choice all plans
Chosen By You Vitality Chocolate Cereal Bar 1 x bar = B choice all plans
Morrisons NuMe Chewy Chocolate Fudge Cereal Bar 1 x bar = B choice all plans
Honey Monster Stix Honeycomb & Milk Chocolate bar 2 x bar = B choice all plans
Weetabix Oaty Bar Toffee Dazzler 1 x bar = B choice all plans
Oaty Bar Milk Chocolate Smasher 1 x bar = B choice all plans
Oaty Bar Strawberry Crusher Cereal Bar 1 x bar = B choice all plans

OILS

1 TBSP Olive Oil

CRISPBREADS

2 X Ryvita Original / Dark Rye / Fruit Crunch
3 X Finn Crisp - 5 wholegrains / Multigrain / Hi Fibre / Garlic Thin / Caraway / Coriander
3 X Aldi Savour Bakes Sesame
4 X Aldi Savour Bakes Rye
3 X Tesco Organic Crispbreads
30g Bag of Ryvita Minis

HEALTHY A CHOICES

CHEESE

30g Cheddar
30g Gouda
30 g Gruyere
30g Parmesan
35g Edam
45g Mozzarella
40g Reduced Fat Cheddar
2 Mini Babybel Original
3 Mini Babybel Lights
3 Dairylea Triangles
4 Dairylea Light Triangles
5 Laughing Cow Light Triangles
2 Kerry Low Low Mature Cheddar Cheese Slices
45g Feta
75g Philadelphia Light

MILK

350ml Skimmed
250ml Semi Skimmed
175ml Whole Milk
500ml Alpro Almond Milk
400ml Alpro Hazlenut Milk
150ml Tesco Chocolate Flavoured Milk

Afraid have to run now to do dinner for everyone Hope it helps a bit. Like I say they do change from time to time but the milks and cheeses tend to not change. It's more the cereal bars to be honest. The only pitta is the weight watchers one and the only wrap is the B Free one from Asda - due to fibre content I believe.

Best of luck with your losses
