Morning all!
I'm doing my first week on SW and I think I'm getting my head around it all but sits wondered if anyone can tell my why when you blend fruit that it then has syns?
I don't get it.
Thanks in advance.
Maybe it's to discourage eating to much natural sugar? Eating a few pieces of fruit can help when hungry but if you are drinking it's just extra calories when a glass of water would do.
I was wondering if it's something to do with breaking down the sugars in the fruit.
There's a recipe in the food optimising book for quick ICECREAM which is basically blitzing up frozen berries with fat free yoghurt (the ice in the berries freezes & thickens the yoghurt) but it days to remember to count the fruit as syns as it's now been blended.
I was wondering if just stirring it together would have the same effect without adding the syns.
One of my fav desserts is meringue with berries and fat free yoghurt. I've never counted the extra syns. I think if it was me I wouldn't add the extra syns.
How many extra syns is it?
If I was blending 5 apples, so berries and a banana to drink then I would class that as cheating and add the extra, but not just a handful of berries blitzed up to put in yoghurt.
