my head is spinning, need some help

Hi everyone. I have made a spaghetti Bolognese, and have included loads of onions, mushrooms and tomatoes. These are all super free foods ( well, I think they are lol ). Do I still have to have a third of sf foods on plate as well. Just don't think I will enjoy a salad with this dish. Thanks in advance for any help

Hi

I know lots of people who count the superfree that's in the dish if there is plenty as their third.

I personally always add vegetables or salad, as it makes me portion it right and fills me up so I am not eating too much pasta/rice etc (if I don't like having salad on the same plate then I still portion the pasta as a third, sauce as a third, then have the salad as a side on a separate plate or in a bowl).

However, I don't think there should be any problem with you just having the vegetables you included in the sauce as your superfree. I think it's just a case of not eating more pasta than you need in my opinion

Like Marie said portion control the pasta, although this is nice over a baked potato too

I'm interested in this too. The way I understand it 1/3 super free is more to do with portion control than the food itself. The meal in itself is syn free but if you were to eat that everyday your weight loss would be slow. By adding 1/3 SF you naturally reduce the portion size if for no other reason than it won't all fit on the plate. I think it's more to do with swapping out some ingredients in favor of SF foods.

I do sw from home so I may totally have got it wrong
