I've been thinking

Dangerous I know but been thinking in the new year to pick one diet plan and stick to it rather than doing a DIY job.

Slimming world is obviously one of the more popular diets, but do many guys go to the groups? There is a group that meets at the kids school but think I'd rather find one a little further away so I don't bump into locals

What happens at the group? A lot of info seems to be free on the website. Wondering if to give it a go with or without the group.

What are the pro and cons?

LOL. Thought the Slimming World forum looked a bit quiet. Guessing there are better diets out there

I'm sorry, but I don't know much about it. I hope someone else will be able to answer your question, though.

If you don't like what you hear about the Slimming World diet, there are other diets out there that will work for you. (: Find one that you like. Good luck.

I swear I already replied to this! Mustn't have pressed submit! I've never been to a meeting, but they always have men's stories in the magazines! I think whether you go to the meetings or not depends on you personally. Some people prefer to have the added incentive of paying to go and not wanting to go having not lost anything! I didn't want to pay to go, so just got the magazines and bought the books 2nd hand and it worked well for me!

I've seen somewhere that they've got a new year offer on, I can't remember what it was mind

I think they all work if you stick to them

Going to group will keep you motivated. Sw is a brilliant diet there should be loads of free deals to join too with it being new year

I'm glad I joined the group but once I felt I had control on what I was eating I stopped attending. I found it a motivation knowing I had to stand on those scales in front of someone!

Only thing I didn't agree with was the 'free' pasta, rice and potatoes... I very much believe these should be limited food.
