SQUasHed ToMaTo's Tuesday Weigh-in

Hi Everyone,

I thought I would put my results on this thread.

I have just started Week 4 so I'll just put in my first three weeks' weigh-in results:

Week One result: 1 1/2 pounds
I have to say I was somewhat meh about this result. No cheating. Did everything by the book (hopefully!) and thought I would have lost a bit more than that. But, like I said in my introduction, this is my third time at Slimming World and at the start of my second attempt, I think i even gained weight in my first weigh-in. So, actually, a loss of 1 1/2 pounds is pretty good.

Week Two result: 3 1/2 pounds
Now that's more like it! I was a bit more aware of portion sizes and eating until I was satisfied. Also had all my HEAs and HEBs and made sure I had more SYNS (I can have up to 20 until I weigh 16 stone). The Slimmer of the Week lost 4 pounds but since he wasn't there, I got his basket of fruit and other healthy goodies.

Week Three result: 1/2 pound
I was REALLY relieved I managed to have a loss even though it was small. We celebrated my grandson's first birthday last weekend and I helped with the catering...and eating. Ha ha! Anyway, that was my Flexible Syn Day and I got back on track the next day. And it paid off.

Great losses so far
Some people find that it's best to look at their losses over the month rather than a weekly basis, that way any small/no losses don't affect the overall picture

Well done for the loss after eating party foods too

Thanks, Sarah. Yes, it's definitely a long-term/gradual thing. You always want to shift the blubber quickly but, really, slow and steady wins the race.

Week Five result: 1/2 pound loss tonight so total overall loss is 8 1/2.

Ate an Indian restaurant last week. I thought I was being careful but, oh well. Not going to complain.

And I started my Bronze Award last week. My leader said that my muscles could be reacting to the exercise but it will all work out eventually. Not going to stop exercising now.

Week Six result: Lost 1 1/2 pounds this week. Well chuffed with that. Making it an overall loss of 10 pounds.

I have to go to the hospital tomorrow morning. I'm going for a procedure and will require a general anesthetic. I will have to stay overnight. Not looking forward to it. And it might affect my weight loss temporarily. Anyway, it has to be done.

Please send your positive thoughts, thanks. xx
