Never been told you HAVE to eat your syns, but that it's advisable to eat some of your syns to stop yourself being too strict and falling off the wagon. it's about learning how to eat in the long term too so it's not realistic to restrict ourselves totally.

When I began at over 20 stone, I pretty much used all of my 15 syns daily.
As the weight has come off, and when I got to about 14 stone, I had to start cutting them back a little...maybe cutting to between 10-12 syns a day.
Now I'm even further into my journey, I try to stick to between 8-10 syns a day in order to continue losing a bit. The losses certainly don't come as easily now, but I know that I pretty much food optimise as simply the way I eat, rather than having to think too much about it.
It's my syns I still have to keep a track of, because if I don't jot them down, even the lowest of synned foods can soon add up!
I'm more annoyed this week because my 'blip' has taken me above my 8 stone award again...so when it comes off, it will be like getting my 8 stone award for the 3rd flippin' time! Enough already....I want to be heading to my 8 and a half...not yo-yo'ing around the 8!
