I was looking at this meal for tonight

http://online.slimmingworld.com/reci...n-a-hurry.aspx

But I'm confused on the rice. It says pile high on the rice but really? If I've got one salmon fillet, chopped toms, onion, pepper, garlic and curry powder how much rice shall I put. Do I figure out (approximate measurements here) if I have 1 cup for example of all the veg- I can have 2 cups of rice?

Can someone help me in this respect help me with portion sizes?
Many thanks x

Rice is Syn free on Extra Easy and Green, so as it's just a bed of rice to put the curry over then it depends on how hungry you are. I usually use Uncle Bens boil in the bag portions which is about 65g of dry rice per person

Thanks. I already had the recipe but it's the actual portion parts of rice in this example I'm worried about. Because rice and salmon are free- these need to be 2/3. The veg mix needs to be 1/3 but when it's not laid out like a chicken dinner etc. I can't quite visualise it.

I suppose the best way to do it is to lay ingredients out before starting cooking. That way I can see the actual food.

Sorry still getting my head round it

2/3 is only a guide isn't it? If you are making up the recipe for 4 I'm sure you can share round any rice that you don't need, or rice keeps in the fridge for a few days which isn't a bad thing to have on standby as a free food

Looking at the recipe I would say 50-60g of dry rice per portion to make up 2/3. Once cooked it will soak up water and weight about 125g ish which is how much salmon is in a portion.
