Hello from a sQUasHed ToMaTo
Hi,
I am so impressed with your website that I joined a few minutes ago.
I'm looking forward to perusing your website and getting to know people here. I've been dieting all my life. It's a long story because I am so sQUasHed and ancient. So, I gave up dieting and joined Slimming World.
Hope to stick to it this time. I started going to SW in 2014 after I returned to the UK from South Korea where I had been teaching English. I managed to lose a few stones but was unable to get to target weight. I went back to uni to do my Master's Degree and then got a job in China. Anyway, back home now and would rather not go overseas to teach anymore. My body wants to rest and recover now.
Anyway, so, how are you all?

Hello Tomato
I've been with Slimming World since November. My husband and I joined together, He was 19 and a half stones and I was 18.4. At the last weigh in last Monday, he was just half a pound off his 6 stones and I got my 3 and a half certificate. It is the best thing we have ever done and if I can do anything to support you on the start of your journey, just let me know

Don't want to commit myself on mine Tomato We threw our weighing scales away because we were on and off 'em right through the day. The only ones which matter, are the ones in group. How are you doing love?

I totally agree with you about the weighing scales, Bookworm. I never go on the scales outside of group unless I'm at the doctor's surgery or the hospital.
My SO, on the other hand, is the exact opposite. He never had problems with his weight until he hit middle age (whereas I've been heavy all my life). He started attending SW with me, reached target, became a Life Member (the lucky sod) and goes on the scales every day. I have nagged him about it. Anyway, I've left him to it these days.
As for how I'm doing...well...staying on plan is no problem at the moment. I have some health issues since coming back from China and I had a bit of an ordeal at the hospital last Thursday. So I have to go back in as a day patient to be put under general anesthetic. I dislike the thought but I'm in pain and the local anesthetic they gave me was useless.
Ah well, such is life...
