Hello

Hi looking for advice as I've gone to 19.5 stone since being off work. I'm 6.3 with big belly that needs to go. Looking for advice on diet and exercise as I've just got a exercise bike.

Hey Neil!

Welcome to Social Slimmers.

If you have a look round Google I'm sure there are some beginner interval training you can do on the bike like you get with C25K (running).

Hi and welcome

the intervals for the bike are a great way to build up the time you cycle, speed and stamina. Interval training has also been shown to work really well.

As for eating there are many plans out there, it's a case of finding what works for you. I have in the past done many diets in the past, including calorie controlled through sites like My fitness pal. I am doing Slimming world now and have found the support at groups inspiring. There are members on here have lost some seriously large amounts too - it really can be done.

Hope you enjoy the site, and find a plan that will work for you.
