Many times we think of carbs as only breads or pastas. But there are hidden carbs in other foods such as milk and cheese. I don't drink much milk at all except with something like cereal but I thought we should be aware of them.

This is one of the reasons I posted this http://www.socialslimmers.com/low-ca...unt-carbs.html . Finding out carbs in food is fairly easy even if they aren't as obvious, but they all add up. I just don't know what is a good target. Or is the target just to aim for the least possible? :s

Thank you for posting this. It's very interesting
I was looking at a packet of burger patties earlier and they had 4g of carbs in each one which surprised me as they're a meat product. I guess because they were grain fed then it makes its way into the actual product.

I was sick n tired of feelin sick n tired and didnt want to start with statins. So i looked into the best way to lower my cholesterol and work with my thyroid prob. Ok. You are wrong about the cow being grass fed reflecting in the patties. They probably used cereals to bind them. Here in spain if you want patties you choose the cut of meat and ask them to mince it for you on the butchers counter. In uk the best 100% mince in the chiller i guess and make them yourself. Same with deli meats. Look at the label. Ham will have sugars in the list from the preserves. Plain boiled ham from the deli counter is neg in carbs as is parma ham. Bacon too. Maple cured canadian bacon is not cured with nitrates and preserved with e nos n sugars. Its a minefield at first but you really do get to prefer the food without the additives.

Carbs can be found in milk and cheese too. Just be mindful of your choices.
