5:2 Diet

So I'm practically at target. I know how to eat healthy, know why I gain etc I've tried every diet but this one. At target the 5:2 diet turns into 6:1 so realistically 1 day is nothing

Has anyone ever tried?

I have never tried it, but it sounds like something worth trying. How do you like it so far? If you like it, that is.

What are the 5:2 and the 6:1 diets? Are these referring to the days of the week? What do you do -- watch what you eat 5 or 6 days a week and then not worry about it the other 1 or 2 days? Or am I way off?

Basically on the 5 days (you choose which 5) you basically within reason eat what you want but on the 2 days women eat 500 calories and men 600. I'm afraid to try it

Wow, those would be some rough days. I hadn't heard of this specific diet, although I have heard of intermittent fasting and this is pretty close to that.

It is meant to be a really good diet and has very positive effects for diabetics especially
