Question for the women

Every single month I gain at least two or three pounds right before I get my monthly cycle. Does this happen to you? It's discouraging. I know it's mainly water weight but I'll have a few pounds weight loss and be so happy and then the scale goes up. It is aggravating.

This happens to me too, but it usually drops off right after. It is frustrating though!

I always gain some weight right when my period starts. My pants always feel tighter and my abdomen feels puffy. It usually lasts a couple of days.

Oh, it's awful. On average, I gain seven pounds of water weight. I know up to five pounds is normal, but seven? I've asked my doctor about it, but she said that it was still within a "normal" range. It's very discouraging!

I used to have this problem, too, but then I had an IUD inserted that diminished my period and with it, PMS symptoms. I still see a lot of fluctuation in my weight due to water gain/loss, though. A loss or gain of three or sometimes even five pounds from one day to the next is very common for me.

I seem to be suffering less with it now than I used to, but it used to affect me really badly every month! I still bloat quite a bit, but the scales don't seem to go up at much!

I usually go up and down a few pounds myself on a regular basis, including before my period. If asked what I weigh, I'm not always sure what to say as a result. I usually just average it out and go with that.

I did years ago but now that I use an IUD (intrauterine device) I do not have this issue. I actually have no cycle which is great but I still get cramps sometimes that could lay me down on the floor like a steamroller is running over me.
