Spaghetti Squash

I picked up a spaghetti squash at the market. I have a horrible time trying to cut them in half so I can clean out the seeds before cooking them. A friend told me that all she does it takes a knife and stabs some holes into the squash and puts the whole thing into the oven. It worked great! It took about an hour and it was done. Easy!!

I like spaghetti squash too. Almost decapitated myself trying to cut one in half. Well, not really... but almost!

Fall is here. I saw a whole display of pumpkins and fancy gourds and squash at the store today.

I usually do what your friend does, Jeans. If I'm not putting it in the oven. I throw it into a pot and boil. Trying to cut it open and peel is very stressful. I only do that when I need to use the seeds for something.

You guys don't boil the spaghetti with the squash, do you? I've never ate spaghetti squash before. I'd like to try it. Can you provide me with a specific recipe? I'd love to incorporate squash into some of my meals. I hardly ever eat squash.

Spaghetti squash is a type of squash. After it is cooked, you scrape it out of the skin and it forms strands. It is good to use instead of pasta or rice with stir fry or sauce. I love mixing it with shrimp and vegetables or with chicken and soy sauce.

Oh my gosh! I had no idea that it was a type of squash. I thought you guys were mixing squash with real spaghetti. Ha-ha. Thank you for clarifying. I'll have to see if my local grocer carries spaghetti squash. It looks so tasty.
