Recipe Wanted: Low fat low calorie cheese sauce?
I love cheese sauce for cauliflower cheese, over over gammon, etc but obviously the quick add milk packets I use to use are high calories/pro points/syns so has anyone got a tried and tested low calorie low syn cheese sauce recipe?

I usually make my sauce from scratch, but its probs even worse cos of the amount of butter/cheese/milk I use I'd have thought there's a way round it with philli and Parmesan! Or maybe mascarpone? I may have to experiment

What about using the lightest Phili? It's about 200 calories for a whole tub xx

I've been thinking about it all day I reckon if you stir in a tub of philli light with grated Parmesan and grate some Parmesan on top it'll be nice!

I've made my own too when I can be bothered which is YUM but I always make too much and it gets wasted (he isn't so keen on cheese sauce) ... as you say high though.
OOoooo wondering if the phili idea is better because I actually don't like loads if its a sauce over food like gammon and potatoes ... could work in a cauliflower cheese too ... Thanks

You know if you purée cooked cauliflower, it goes all smooth and creamy. I wonder if you could add lower fat cheese to it...
