what sort of Challenge next?

Hi All

I was wondering if you've got any suggestions on what type of Challenge you'd like next?

Our January one comes to a close soon.

Any ideas? / Timescales?

I could do with one. Work killed all my motivation again and I have slipped back into the fast food regime. Have developed a bad 10am stressed out 2 toasted panini, slice of cake, small pack of oreos and bottle of pop habit I need to kick. If only for my credit cards sake.
I really just need the right to beat the people unconscious with my keyboard who come bursting in my office proclaiming how the world will end if they don't get their e-mail/computer/printer working.
I vote some kick butt motivation exercise/diet type challenge thing that is totally awesome but I have no idea what

um the exercise 1/2 hour at least 3 times per week challenge?
the eat a salad a day for one meal challenge?
the lose x stone challenge?
the drink 2 liters of water a day min ?
the 3 cups of green tea/ day.

How about a mega multi challenge? you get points for each healthy habit you carry out / day and have to set yourself a decent score to aim for with reward or punishment? Just have to make a list of what habits people plan to implement and give em a point score based on difficulty Like a mini game.

I need a stop eating anything except fruit & veg challenge... or rather someone stood over me with a big stick to hit me with everytime I reach for chocolate or something equally as bad!!

I'd probably go for another WL challenge though

ok, Ima gonna kick the ball off to use a football metaphor.

so I guess there are 24 days left in the month. I need something that's going to push me as I just noticed my womble like body in a glass door reflection and it made me wanna cry I usually avoid mirrors.

Goal : I will lose 3 stone over the next 24 days. Just under 2lbs/day which I have shown I can do with no exercise and keeping to a basic diet. So if I exercise and stick to a rigid diet going to be easy lol.

Rewards : 1 'me' day per stone lost. Thats a stress free, meh! to housework, self indulgent day of long relaxing baths with my best pongy incense, not worrying about tidying up or work stuff, at least an hour plugged into massage machine, audio book listening, chillin kind of day. So I can remember my body can feel good instead of being this aching bag of meat I begrudgingly drag around.

Penalties : For every stone of the 3 I have not lost by the end of the month I donate 5 of my DVD collection to a local charity shop. Each 5 must include at least one of my hard gained collection of documentaries on the Paris showgirls from Crazy Horse club

just need to weigh myself see how much of my January -9lb loss I have regained. If topic takes off will post weight tomorrow and get cracking Tonight am off to the Trafford Centre for a meal and a film.

Lol you've not killed it Paul, it just seems as if no one else has any other ideas

I think for me I need to focus on sticking to the plan rather than losing a certain amount of weight. Focusing on how much I want to lose is making me go off track sometimes I think.

Thanks Sarah. Guess like you say we cannot control the amount of weight we lose. Just if we stick to our plans. Am kind of going through a bit of a stressful time though so am looking for something to help kick in that stoic mindset I need to make a start. Had my 4th takeaway in a row today and feeling 'blergh'. Worse than being hungover.
Lent is coming up so after an almighty pancake binge on Tuesday might set myself some 40 day challenge. Maybe just to do some exercise Good luck everyone with whatever you are doing.

Shall we have a 'name your challenge' type event? Where we can have personal goals?

I'd like to set up a Lent challenge - I'm not religious but have signed up for a 'run every day' challenge from 10th Feb till 23rd March - so that is going to be my challenge I'd love to lose weight within that time of course - so will join the weight loss too.

sorry didn't make it back here, I had a look at end of jan but didn't see any responses. lol

I think that's a good idea PJ, the name your challenge thread. We can stick our challenges in our signatures maybe?

I'm not a religious person either, but I've been thinking of doing something for the lent period but haven't decided what yet! And I may even give pancake day a miss this year, I'm much more of a fan of the thicker pancakes rather than the pancake day pancakes lol...

It took me a while to spot this thread, I couldn't remember which area the challenges were in

Great idea to put choices in our signatures to keep us on track
