July 2015 - Weight loss and support

I do well if I have goals to work towards so would love to share this and offer / find support from others in the same boat.

Wondered if you'd like to do a monthly challenge - you can name a goal, or simply share your losses and have a chat during the month.

Personally:
Start Weight 17st 3.5lb
Current Weight 16st 10lb

01/07/15 - 17st 3.5lb
07/07/15 - 16st 10lb (-5.5lb)
14/07/15 -
21/07/15 -
28/07/15 -

5.5lb is a fantastic loss. Hope you do well again next weigh-in. I had my joint greatest loss this week after joining the forum. It appears that sharing my intake with everyone has had a superb impact on my motivation. Long may it last! ☺

Yes PurpleJ I'm doing SW and think it's so easy. Its been a slow journey though as it's taken me since February to lose my 1st 10lb. I've generally lost about 2lb a week with a couple of weeks of gains. It's a bit more difficult for me as I can't do much exercise due to chronic illness. I also do it online because of this and I work shifts too. So I've never really had any support until now. I couldn't believe my loss this week, simply by sharing my food journal and not cheating lol! x

That's great that dairying your food worked so well, I am doing that too still as new and need to learn whats what but might continue to be honest as know it'll stop me having the odd nibble or treat. lol

2lb a week on average is really good going - I'm sure I'll slow down and hoping that it'll be around 2lb a week I lose to keep it consistent. You're a lot lighter than me too so it's all relevant I think. I don't know how long it'll take me but losing is much better than gaining like I've been for the last few years.

Hi PurpleJ. Looks like we've got similar weight to lose. It's going to be a long haul, but it will all be worth it in the end.

Certainly will be, it took me 3 years to go from 12 stone to 17st so it's only right it takes me that long to lose it I guess.

Would be great to follow your journey in here if you fancy sharing? Well done on your half stone award - really hoping I hit 1.5lb or a little more on Tuesday to get my first half stone award too.

What day do you weigh in on?

Yes, definitely. That would be great.

I weigh in on a Monday, so will find out how I'm doing tomorrow. Im feeling pretty bloated at the moment (time of the month), so who knows. As long as I'm sticking to plan, eating healthily, it will all even out.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you getting your half stone award on Tuesday.

I'd like to join you lovely ladies if you don't mind

I'm hoping to lose a stone by the end of August, which averages out at 2.5lbs per week, so I'll say 5lbs by the end of this month That would take me into the 11's too, which would be brilliant!
I weigh on Monday nights, and I'm expecting a gain tonight, so hopefully I can get something off for next week!

30/06/15 - 12st 2lb
06/07/15 - 12st 2.5lb (+0.5lb)
13/07/15 -
20/07/15 -
27/07/15 -

Great to have you on board Sarah - I was hoping a monthly challenge / support would help us to see for that month how we get on, my consultant was trying to get this across to some members in my group.

I'm in the early stages of the start so overall was hoping to lose 10lb for the month of July - but my consultant was keen to push a Stone for the first month as achievable, I was a bit shy of hoping for this so just said it would be nice. It would be more than nice obviously but don't want to feel disappointed if I don't hit it.

Thistle thanks for the fingers x'd for tomorrow, really appreciate it.

Good luck Sarah and Thistle for tonights weigh in's! hope you are smiling through them and feel supported in your group if you stay. Look forward to hearing how you get on and Sarah if you have a gain the line is drawn already so you know you'll be moving on from it.
