My 10km Training Diary
So my training began, delayed but started all the same
For a couple of weeks I have been intending to run Wednesdays with some local ladies but between illnesses and extremely bad weather it hasn't happened.
Tonight I did 6.60km in 55 minutes, I really thought the route we did I would take longer, they were so patient with me. One of the ladies is a PT and she told me by 2nd and 3rd run I will find I run more, we ran and walked the route.
My legs and feet hurt I know I'm going to feel this tomorrow but I'm really pleased with my first run!

Yaaaayyyyy!! So chuffed for you!! How's your legs and feet today?! Your body gets used to it quickly! The place I feel it now is in my tummy, just above my pubic bone type area, no idea why! Aw I'm so chuffed for you!

I nearly never went really pushed myself out but I could feel how much I've NOT done for a handful of weeks.
I admit am pleased with myself and I'm joining the ladies every Wednesday now I already feel like I can do this 10km run!

You'll do great! I've not been out for ages again, I just seem to be running out of time in the days! OHs going away for a few days again, so I don't know when I'll next make it out. Will have to do some cardio DVDs or something! Eek we've got less than 3 months!!

That's me off out tonight again altho I'd love bath and PJs.
AF due Saturday/Sunday so hopefully that means no excuses for next week too. I'm wearing a double layer vest, I was too hot last time even tho it was cold and raining after 60 seconds I knew I could get away with no/short sleeves.
Where are you up to PP?

It went ok! I've realised my new £60 running shoes are not a comfy fit though it was a little slower tonight... One lady not so well and the other just seemed to be having one of those days forgot her running jacket etc but we all went, oh and I yawned a lot of it

Glad your run went okay. It sounded tiring! Hopefully you will wear your new running shoes in soon. I always get pain with every new pair of shoes until I've worn them in. It's frustrating!
