Hi well done that is a great achievement!!!
I'm just starting on that journey, can't get to a gym but started going for a run every second day, trying to get to 10 k at a reasonable pace for Aug /Sept maybe I should book a race so I can have a firm coal.

That’s fantastic, starting your training and going for your first run is a big accomplishment. It’s great that you had the support of the local ladies and that they were patient with you. Don’t worry about the soreness in your legs and feet, it’s a sign that your body is adjusting to the new activity. Keep up the great work, and I can’t wait to hear about your future runs.
