I drink a lot of soy milk and hot chocolate, so I am glad they are on the list! Thank you for sharing this. It was an interesting read.

Drinking green tea

I have seen quite a number of articles promoting drinking green tea if you want to lose weight.

From what I read, green tea has been proven to aid weight loss by speeding up the metabolism, inhibiting fat absorption and aiding glucose regulation. This is not because of the caffeine it contains, but is instead due to the high concentration of natural antioxidants called catechin polyphenols.

However, to really notice a difference, you have to be drinking three to five cups a day, or take in supplement form.

Green tea and white tea are both excellent for you. I like white tea a little better--it's lighter on the caffeine, and it has a more delicate flavor. Green tea in the morning, white tea in the afternoon. Otherwise, I can't sleep!

I am a fruit juice fanatic so this was a great article to read. Also, a little trick I do is to mix in some veggies, although you never taste them because the fruit overwhelms the taste. I am not a big veggie guy so this is how I get them in my system.

I'm not into soy milk either, I think it tastes horrible! Not to mention that it's really not that good for most people but I guess everyone is different. I would say hot chocolate is good for people if they use real chocolate that is not overly sweetened. The rest of the drinks I can definitely see are really good for us!

Magnificent! Much obliged concerning offering that. I cherish hot cocoa yet I didn't drink it all the time in light of the fact that I thought it was awful for you. I make my own particular with skim milk. I have to begin drinking green tea!

Does anyone have a good recipe for green tea? I love the stuff but I hate to buy it and for some reason each time I try to make it the darn thing turns out a little odd. I know I don't drink enough cocoa either but for that I really need to be in the mood. Just recently I picked up juice to drink (a cup a day since I seldom drink orange juice).

I'm not sure what you mean by a recipe but, green tea bag in boiled water for 30 secs is lovely. I also drop in a peppermint tea bag in -leave it in- delicious! Twinnings does green tea infused w/mango or pineapple. I make a matcha shake. 1 cup almonds. 2 cup water. 1 teaspoon of matcha powder & ice. Frothy goodness! Hope this helps! 😊
