Can not give up carbs
I am pretty sure this is where most of my bad weight has come from but I love carbs, I can not give them up. How can I still get my carbs in without going overboard with it?

Try doing what I mentioned on here before. I limit my carbs to just one meal per day. I know, that's really hard to do but it simply works. So, if I have toast for breakfast, that's it for carbs! The next 2 meals and snack, I have no breads, crackers, sugar, candy etc.
This was the only way that I could start to wean myself off of them. You could go easy on yourself at first and start with one meal per day with no carbs. Then, you could work your way up.

I've just started Atkins again and although the first few days are hard, after that it us very easy and I'm a carb queen! Prepare for feeling abit awful though as your body detoxes the sugar!

Cups are the best ways to do it. If you are dealing with packs, then, bring in the weighing scale for food. Always measure what you take. Also, allow yourself to have some breathing space. This is very important especially if you are planning to lose weight fast.

Trading for healthier carbs might help, too. Sometimes that's what helps me to cut back--I'll trade out for quinoa, wheatberry, or something similar instead of rice, pasta, etc. It doesn't quite satisfy the craving because I don't enjoy it as much as "the real thing," but if that's the only option I allow myself, then that's it!
Trading one food for another helps sometimes, too. I've found that bananas satisfy my bread cravings.

That might be something I can do. My issue is not as much bread but crackers. I really love them for quick snacks and even moving over to multigrain ones is not really helping me that all that much.

Trading out bad carbs for good carbs is one way to do it, but one thing I have had success with lately is limiting the number of carbs per meal. In my case, it's limited to 30 grams, but I have heard some diets restrict it down to 20 per meal.

It is hard to kill the carbs! I understand, I had to do it when I lost weight previously. The funny thing is the cravings just about killed me! I went through a week or so when I thought I would kill someone, it was akin to quitting smoking! But after that, I felt so very much better, you wouldn't believe it. We just have to stick to it and get through that period and it will totally be worth it!

I think carbs are addictive. The more you eat,the more you want! At least that's how it is for me. I follow my mum's lead. She bakes a loaf, slices it then freezes it so she has to toast it to eat it. It's not sitting there in the bread bin tempting her! I only eat around one slice a week now.
