Food shopping

Do you stick to only what is on your list or do you make impulse buys because something at the store looks good? I have to really try hard not to do that. Now, I stick to what I planned out on my shopping list, unless something is on sale. I try to stay out of the aisles with all the tempting stuff. I also make sure I eat before I go. There is nothing worse than shopping for food when you're hungry.

I always mean to take a list and rarely actually do! I went last week and spent £140 on a whole load of rubbish! I stupidly went when I was hungry and feeling down, so just bought loads of comfort food. I was actually really shocked when I got home and unpacked it, as was my OH as it was so unlike me!

I need to start doing weekly meal plans again and just buy what I need, cos I tend to just oick up things and not actually think about what I can make with it.

I keep a list on the refrigerator door of things that I ran out of like coffee and eggs so I don't forget to buy them. I should make a better plan and stick with it because a lot of the time I end up buying things that I shouldn't have.

Going to the store hungry is bad. I've done that pretty often and I always end up with spur of the moment food that isn't on my diet.

I always go to the shops with a list but 3/4's of the time something always finds its way in my trolley that's not on it

I've started making meal plans and a list, I waste so much food and I've started getting into the habit of what is in the cupboard NEEDS used... most of it I won't eat now so the kids get it

I end up with a bunch of mismatched food in the cupboard that doesn't go together. Better planning for my meals would probably save me a bunch of money too. Maybe I would not end up buying more fresh foods than I can use before it goes bad and ends up in the trash bin.

I just threw away two onions that went moldy and a half bag of carrots that were all slimy and a cucumber that was soft and disgusting. What a waste.

Maybe make up some homemade dip to eat with things like carrots and cucumber before they go mushy

I sent my OH with a list this week and planned! I now don't have a fridge full of veg I don't know what to do with and will actually cook proper meals rather than opening and closing the cupboards/fridge a million times trying yo decide what to eat I've no idea what he's eating this week, probably stuff out the freezer and tins!
