Hardback books or Kindle?

I'm not a reader but I find winding down a nightmare in the evenings and have heard this can help so for any readers out there do you find reading more enjoyable with the actual book in your hand or a kindle?

Do you prefer paperback or digital reading ... and why?

I've always preferred holding a book in my hands. It's the smell and the texture. I'm also one of those who constantly shifts positions while reading, which in itself is quite fun

Yes I could imagine shifting position actually and having to scroll on the screen being quite annoying

I'm a huge fan of both.

I love actual books, but when I sit and read for long periods of time, I get fed up of holding the book open (I tend to read big books... Game of Thrones and the such so they're usually heavy!) and plus I tend to drop them on my face when I'm lying down

My Kindle on the other hand can be held in one hand, I've got 150+ books to hand so I can read whatever I fancy, and it fits perfectly in my handbag!
I use it everyday at work and read on my lunch break. It's ideal because to turn the page you just have to press a slim button on the side of the kindle and voila! You're on the next page No scrolling involved like you would on a iPad or iPhone (or similar tablet/phone!)
Plus it's ideal for me as I'm also a fidgeter, so I can move all I like and still keep my Kindle in one hand

I have never actually used a kindle but I do love holding a book in my hands and turning the pages

I do both! I find it easier to read ebooks in bed without waking my hubby as I don't need to turn on a light! I am an irratic sleeper and reading helps, even if it's just to pass the time!!

I like both. My kindle is very old but still perfect and you can get a lot of books for free or really cheap. I love reading and never thought I'd like a kindle, but hubby bought it me for Xmas many years ago and I actually love it. It's very handy for holidays.
But I do love the smell and feel of a book. Though I can't manage to hold a hardback as it hurts my hands. I get through so many books and share them with my mum and sister as we all like the same genre; murder and crime thrillers.
