Ready, set, go..... hello (1:1 diet)

Hi there fellow slimmers,

Yes I prefer 'slimmers' rather than 'dieters' as I'd rather 'slim' than 'die'.

So I wanted to introduce myself, I'm Nicole and am 1 week down on the 1:1 diet by Cambridge. I work full time in London as a designer and study at uni part time so I'm a busy bee.

I have a fair bit to off-load, my goal is to loose 43kg's!!

I'm 5'11 (and a starting weight on 115.4kg's) so I'm on x4 (approx 200 calorie) 1:1/Cambridge products a day and no a lick of anything else.

I usually have:
Breakfast: Porridge
Lunch: Thai green curry noodles (made watery into a soup)
Dinner: Spaghetti (made into a soup with savory broth and dried herbs)
Snack: x1 Protein bar (x0.5 Choc orange, x0.5 mint)

I'm really enjoying it so far and it's rather easy to stay on track since no need to actually go into a shop and prepare meals. Just a weekly visit to my consultant, select the packs, eat them and BAMMM it works like a dream.

I've done the Cambridge diet before and had got down to 87kg's in 2017 but then life happened- I lost my joy, my partner who I lived with found out he had cancer, he became abusive towards me and my weight crept up as I was at home full time taking care of him and drinking too much wine and eating too much 'healthy' fats.

Just x1 bottle of wine a day adds an extra 750 calories on so Needless to say I packed on the kg's pretty quickly with no exercise as he needed full time care. Once he recovered and was in remission I got a new job, saved some money, moved out and broke off the abusive and soul destroying relationship.

Now it's time to focus on me, my health, my happiness and my journey to wellness. I'm happily single right now as I don't want the pressure of dating while being on this unsociable diet (no eating/drinking out allowed).

So...... I'm 4.3kg's down in 1 week!!! Happy about that but I realise about 3kg's of that is glycogen stores being depleted so week 2 will really show the real results.

I've joined this forum today as 11 years ago I was on a similar forum and the support and weekly check-in's really helped to encourage me and keep me on track.

By way of update I have now lost 1 stone in 2 weeks!!! Super excited about that, this diet really works if you work it!
